GAMR – Community Guidelines

1. Be Respectful and Kind

We encourage thoughtful discussion and honest opinions, but personal attacks are never acceptable.

Do not:

• Harass, threaten, or bully others
• Use hate speech or slurs
• Insult or demean users, developers, or communities
• Create a hostile environment for any group

Do:

• Debate ideas respectfully
• Welcome differing opinions
• Treat others the way you want to be treated

2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

GAMR does not allow content that attacks or discriminates against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.

Any such content will be removed and may result in account action.

3. Keep the Platform Safe for Users 13+

GAMR is intended for ages 13 and older.

Prohibited:

• Sexual content involving minors
• Graphic sexual content or pornography
• Hyper-violent or ultra-gory imagery (discussion of mature-rated game content is allowed)

Keep posts safe for younger teen users.

4. No Spam, Scams, or Self-Promotion

To keep GAMR clean and useful:

Not allowed:

• Spam posts, comments, or messages
• Repetitive or automated content
• Unapproved advertising or commercial promotions
• Affiliate links (only GAMR may use affiliate links on the site)
• Attempts to scam or defraud other users

You may share personal gaming content like reviews, collections, or opinions—just not external marketing or solicitations.

5. Stay On-Topic and Add Value

GAMR is a platform for discussing video games and related topics.

Allowed:

• Game reviews
• Community discussions about games, hardware, developers, trends
• Sharing insights, critiques, and personal experiences

Not allowed:

• Off-topic content unrelated to gaming
• Low-effort posts like "first," "hi," or meaningless spam
• Posts created solely to provoke arguments ("trolling")

6. Honest and Authentic Reviews Only

User-generated reviews must reflect your genuine opinion.

Prohibited:

• Paid reviews
• Incentivized reviews
• Fake or misleading reviews
• Manipulating ratings for or against a game

We want your real thoughts—positive or negative.

7. No Copyright Violations

Do not post content that infringes on someone else's copyright.

Examples of not allowed content:

• Game files, ROMs, or pirated material
• Uploads of copyrighted artwork, images, or text you don't own
• Copying reviews or content from other websites

If you believe someone has posted infringing content, you may submit a DMCA notice using our Takedown Policy.

8. Protect Your Privacy and Others'

Do not share sensitive personal information—yours or someone else's—such as:

• Phone numbers
• Home or email addresses
• Financial information
• Passwords or login data
• Photos of others without consent

If you see doxxing, report it immediately.

9. No Illegal Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Sharing pirated content or instructions for piracy
• Encouraging hacking, cheating, or exploiting games
• Distributing malware
• Any activity that breaks applicable laws

GAMR must remain a safe, lawful space for all users.

10. Reporting and Moderation

If you see content that violates these Guidelines, please report it.

Our moderation team may take the following actions depending on severity:

• Warning
• Content removal
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination

Decisions may vary depending on context, behavior history, and intent. Moderation decisions are final.

11. Use the Platform Responsibly

You are responsible for your behavior on GAMR.

Please:

• Post thoughtfully
• Respect community spaces
• Follow the rules
• Help create a positive environment

We built GAMR for people who love video games—help us keep it a great place to be.

12. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines occasionally. Updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of GAMR indicates acceptance of any changes.
