Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Sign up using Google or Steam on the login page. After signing in for the first time you'll be taken through a short onboarding flow where you can pick a screen name and add games you've already played.
What is the GAMR score?
The GAMR score is an aggregate rating calculated from community reviews on GAMR. It's displayed as a score out of 5 and shown alongside the IGDB critic score so you can see how both audiences feel about a game.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet — but an iOS app is coming soon. Stay tuned!
Your Library
How do I add a game to my library?
Open any game's detail page and tap or click the library button. You'll be able to set a status — Playing, Completed, Dropped, Want to Play, or On Hold — and optionally log a rating at the same time.
What do the library statuses mean?
Playing means you're currently working through the game. Completed means you've finished it (at least the main story). Dropped means you started but stopped. Want to Play is your wishlist.
Can I import my Steam library?
Yes. Go to your Profile → Settings and use the Steam import option. You'll need to enter your Steam ID and make sure your Steam profile's game details are set to public.
Ratings & Reviews
How does the rating system work?
Ratings are on a 1–5 scale with half-star increments (so 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 … 5.0). You can rate a game directly from the library button without writing a review, or include a rating when you submit a written review.
Can I edit or delete a review I wrote?
Yes. Visit the review on your profile or on the game's page, open the options menu (the three-dot icon), and choose Edit or Delete.
Can I review a game I haven't finished?
Absolutely — just be upfront in your review text that it's a work-in-progress take. There's no requirement to have completed a game before reviewing it.
Community
What are lists?
Lists let you curate themed collections of games — for example "Best RPGs of the decade" or "Games to play with friends". You can make lists public or keep them private, and other users can like and follow your lists.
How do I follow someone?
Visit a user's profile page and click the Follow button. Their activity — reviews they write and games they add to their library — will appear in your Home feed.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Use the flag icon or the three-dot options menu on any review, screenshot, or comment to report it. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action according to our Community Guidelines.
Account & Profile
How do I change my profile information?
Go to your Profile → Edit Profile. You can update your display name, bio, and profile photo from there.
Can I change which account I sign in with?
Currently each GAMR account is tied to the sign-in method (Google or Steam) used when it was created. If you need help linking accounts, contact support.
