ACA Neo Geo: Twinkle Star Sprites is a 1996 competitive arcade shooter originally published by SNK and developed by ADK Corporation, re-released in 2018 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android. Rather than focusing solely on clearing waves of enemies, the game pits two players against each other across a split-screen field. Players defeat incoming Enemy Golems using Chain Explosions, Power Shots, and Bombs, converting defeated enemies into Attack Characters that are launched against the opposing side. Success depends on managing both offense and defense simultaneously, as the attacks sent across the screen must also be countered in kind.
