Age of Zombies is a top-down shooter developed by Halfbrick Studios, released in 2010 for iOS, Android, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Ouya. Players control Barry Steakfries, a wisecracking protagonist pursuing a villainous scientist named Professor Brains, who has unleashed zombie hordes across different eras of history. The single-player campaign spans six distinct time periods — including Feudal Japan, Prehistoric Times, and Ancient Egypt — where enemies range from undead ninjas and mummies to cavemen, all dispatched using an assortment of weapons and explosives. Large boss encounters punctuate the campaign, among them a Zombie T-Rex. A separate Survival Mode challenges players to endure increasingly relentless waves of enemies.
