Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica is a role-playing game developed by Gust and released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2. A sequel set on the same world as its predecessor, it shifts focus to the Metafalss region of the planet Ar Ciel, where a different incarnation of the Tower of Ar tonelico serves as the central setting. Unlike the structure in the first game, this tower does not immediately resemble one, though it retains comparable core facilities. Song Magic continues to function as a form of programmable power, but the Metafalss tower operates with two distinct servers: Sol Marta, situated in the tower's upper zone and functioning as its primary server, and Infel Phira, an orbiting satellite. Each server supports a different hymmnos dialect — Sol Marta handling EXEC-type hymns and Infel Phira processing METHOD-type hymns through the Pastalia hymmnos system.
