ArcheAge is a free-to-play open-world sandbox MMORPG developed by XLGames, released in 2013 for PC. The game is set across two primary continents — the nature-revering western lands of Nuia and the spirit-driven eastern realm of Harihara — with a mythologized Lost Continent, Auroria, serving as a further destination tied to an overarching conspiracy narrative involving ancient heroes and gods. Six playable races are available, including Nuians, Elves, Dwarves, Firran, Harani, and Warborn, supported by 14 skill sets that combine into hundreds of distinct class configurations. Traversal spans horseback riding, gliders, and player-built ships ranging from rowboats to battle clippers. Combat operates across land, sea, and air, with siege warfare, dungeon crawling, and naval battles all present. Beyond combat, players can engage in farming, housing construction, crafting across multiple vocations, and maritime trade, while pirate factions introduce shifting allegiances throughout the world.
