Arkanoid: Eternal Battle is an arcade block-breaker developed by French studio Pastagames, released in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Based on Taito's 1986 classic, the game follows the spacecraft VAUS as it navigates an inter-dimensional labyrinth, destroying blocks called spacewalls and working toward defeating DOH, the entity responsible for the destruction of the mother ship Arkanoid. The modernized release features a revised artistic direction alongside new power-ups, effects, and stage elements. Four distinct modes are available: two single-player options (Neo and Retro), a local split-screen Versus mode for two to four players, and the headline addition, Eternal Battle — an online battle royale supporting up to 25 players where the last surviving competitor wins. Cross-play functionality connects players across different platforms, and dedicated online leaderboards track scores across the three main modes. The soundtrack was composed by Xavier Thiry.
