Arms is a fighting game developed by Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 9 and released in 2017 for Nintendo Switch. The game blends boxing and third-person combat, centering on fighters equipped with extendable, projectile-like arms that can be steered mid-flight toward opponents. Players select from a roster of champions drawn from around the world, each customizable with different arm combinations that alter attack properties. Combat involves throwing punches and curving them around obstacles or toward evasive opponents, dodging incoming strikes with dashes, and launching into the air to attack from above. Charged punches deal increased damage, and landing hits fills a special gauge that enables powerful combination attacks. The game supports Joy-Con motion controls, with players twisting each controller to bend punches, as well as standard button inputs. Both local and online multiplayer are available.
