Army Men II is a tactical shooter and real-time strategy game developed by The 3DO Company and released in 1999 for PC, with a Game Boy Color version following in 2000. A direct sequel to the original Army Men, it continues the conflict between the Green and Tan plastic armies, this time expanding the battlefield into domestic environments — kitchens, bedrooms, garages, and front yards. Players again command Sarge as he leads Green forces through these oversized, household-scale theaters of war. The game retains the series' core combat mechanics while introducing unconventional weapons suited to its miniature-soldier premise, including magnifying glasses and spray cans alongside conventional military armaments. The central conceit of plastic soldiers melting, fragmenting, and battling across everyday surfaces remains a defining characteristic of the gameplay, blending absurdist humor with straightforward squad-based combat across multiple campaign settings.
