This gives children a chance to join Arthur and the rest of Mr. Ratburn's class on a camping trip. Unfortunately, Mr. Ratburn sprains his ankle - badly - and it's up to Arthur to save the day. Players will climb mountains, travel through forests, find hidden surprises, and lead the class to safety. Activities include pitching a tent, navigating rockslides, river crossings, exploring a spooky cabin, mazes, and building rescue devices. Children can interact with characters, develop critical thinking skills, and enjoy the introduction to wildlife science. The 21 environments include 30 printable scenes and 40 hidden surprises.
Arthur's Camping Adventure (aka Arthur's Wilderness Rescue) is about Arthur and Mr. Ratburn's class taking a field trip to Mount Rockslide to explore the wilderness. It should have been all fine and dandy, but Mr. Ratburn ends up twisting his ankle on arrival at the campsite. It's now up to Arthur and his friend Buster to get some help, as you choose from three different ways of getting rescue to arrive.
By using the mouse, you navigate around the campgrounds to find items that you need, certain items will need to be collected like getting a bag of food by finding another item that can be used to retrieve it. Most of the time will be pointing and clicking for items and using some of them by taking them out of the backpack. There's even an extra challenge of photographing wildlife during the game session (this can vary, mammals one time and flowers the next).
Climb the mountain, explore nature, and learn about wildlife with Arthur and Mr. Ratburn.
Search for 40 fun natural surprises as you see nature up close.
Help Mr. Ratburn off the mountain by building 3 different rescue devices.
Keep a scrapbook of your adventure with printable mammals, birds, insects, and flowers.
