Ballz: The Director's Cut is a 3D fighting game developed by PF Magic, released in 1995 exclusively for the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer. An enhanced version of the Genesis and SNES title Ballz 3D: Fighting at its Ballziest, it retains the original's distinctive visual concept in which every character is constructed entirely from spheres. Each fighter has a distinct set of moves, animations, and combos. The single-player mode tasks the player with working through the full roster of playable characters before facing a series of non-playable final bosses — including a tyrannosaurus, kangaroo, scorpion, ostrich, and bull — each with its own fighting style and exploitable weak spot. A multiplayer mode supports matches between two players. The game combines elements of the fighting and strategy genres through its emphasis on recognizing and targeting enemy vulnerabilities.
