Battlefield 2: Armored Fury is a booster pack expansion for Battlefield 2, developed by Digital Illusions CE and released in 2006 for PC. It adds three new multiplayer maps centered on a fictional invasion of the American homeland, pitting US forces against Chinese and MEC opponents across domestic settings. Midnight Sun is set on the Alaskan coastline where Chinese forces make an amphibious landing, Operation Harvest moves combat to the open plains of Pennsylvania where air and armor coordination is essential, and Operation Road Rage stages large-scale tank battles across American freeways. Alongside the new maps, the pack introduces two vehicle classes: Attack Jets equipped with rocket pods and cluster bombs, and Scout Choppers capable of detecting nearby enemies. The expansion builds on Battlefield 2's combined-arms gameplay with an emphasis on armored and aerial engagements across its American theater.
