Armored Kill is a 2012 expansion pack for Battlefield 3, developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and released on PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360. It centers on large-scale vehicular combat, introducing a range of new driveable vehicles including tanks, ATVs, and mobile artillery units. The expansion also brings several sprawling new maps designed to accommodate this vehicle-focused style of play, among them the largest map released in the Battlefield series up to that point. The added hardware and expanded terrain shift the emphasis away from infantry engagements toward coordinated armored assaults, giving players a broader set of mechanical tools and more open environments in which to deploy them.
