Bedlam is a vector-graphics arcade shooter developed by GCE for the Vectrex in 1983. Taking an approach inverse to Atari's Tempest, the game places the player's ship — modeled after the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars — at the center of geometric sectors rather than along their outer edges. Enemy craft appear at the perimeter of each sector and move inward toward the player, who must rotate left or right to track and eliminate them. A Fast Rotate button allows quicker directional spinning, and a single-use Zap weapon, analogous to Tempest's Superzapper, clears all enemies from the screen once per sector. The game features multiple enemy types with distinct behaviors, as well as a variety of sector shapes. Contact with an enemy costs the player one reserve ship, and the game ends when all ships are exhausted.
