Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is a puzzle game developed by Nintendo, released in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. Players work through a collection of quick mental challenges spanning memory, perception, and problem-solving — tasks such as memorizing number sequences, identifying partially revealed animals, and routing trains to their destinations. The primary draw is its local multiplayer mode, which supports up to four players competing to achieve the highest score across these activities. A variable difficulty system allows participants of different ages and skill levels to compete on more even terms. Outside of multiplayer, players can take a solo assessment to receive a Big Brain Brawn score, practice individual activities to improve speed and accuracy, and customize an in-game avatar with various unlockable costumes. Ghost Clash mode extends competition online, letting players measure themselves against data from other users worldwide, friends, or family members sharing the same console.
