Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django is a role-playing adventure game developed by Konami for the Game Boy Advance, released in 2004. The sequel follows Django, a young vampire and demon hunter, as he continues his mission to purge supernatural evil from the world. A defining feature carried over from the first entry is the built-in solar sensor embedded in the cartridge, which detects real-world sunlight and translates it into in-game power. Players who venture outdoors gain access to solar energy used to charge and fuse a roster of more than 60 weapons and items. Compared to its predecessor, the game expands the experience through a larger game environment, an increased arsenal, and new characters. The solar sensor mechanic remains central to both combat and progression, tying physical surroundings directly to gameplay in an unusually literal way.
