Hudson Soft's 2005 Nintendo DS entry in the long-running Bomberman series brings the franchise's signature blend of tactical maze combat and arcade action to the handheld platform. The game offers 100 stages across its single-player content, designed to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. Its most notable technical achievement is support for eight-player simultaneous wireless LAN multiplayer, which was among the first implementations of that scale on the Nintendo DS. The game also makes use of the DS's built-in microphone. As with other entries in the series, the core loop revolves around placing bombs strategically to eliminate obstacles and opponents, balancing offensive play with spatial awareness.
