Bomberman II is a 1991 puzzle-arcade game developed by Hudson Soft for the Family Computer and Nintendo Entertainment System, released in Europe under the title Dynablaster. A follow-up to the original Bomberman, it retains the core maze-based gameplay in which the player navigates grid-structured levels, placing bombs to clear blocks and open paths. Compared to its predecessor, the game introduced several new features, including a more developed storyline and expanded multiplayer support accommodating two or three players simultaneously. The fundamental structure remains consistent with the series' established formula, balancing maze navigation with strategic bomb placement to progress through stages.
The player controls White Bomberman, who is framed for the terrible crimes committed by Black Bomberman. After being accused of robbing a bank, White Bomberman is thrown in jail. The player must navigate White Bomberman through a series of puzzles to escape his prison cell and bring Black Bomberman to justice.
