Released in 2022 by Young Horses, The Isle of Bigsnax is a puzzle-adventure expansion available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It sends players to a new island populated by oversized Bugsnax, introducing a mechanic called Shrink Spice that reduces these giant creatures to a catchable size. The expansion is accompanied by four characters — Chandlo, Floofty, Triffany, and Shelda — each with their own personal storylines woven into the island's forgotten history. Beyond the new island, players gain a personal hut in Snaxburg that can be furnished and decorated using items earned by completing mailbox challenges. These challenges also introduce new twists on the core catching and exploration mechanics. An additional layer of collectibility comes from rare Bughats, which can be used to customize the appearance of individual Bugsnax.
