Eclipse is the second downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, developed by Treyarch and released in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The pack adds four multiplayer maps alongside a new Zombies chapter. Spire places combat in a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal suspended in the clouds, while Knockout brings close-quarters and mid-range fighting to a retro-styled Shaolin Temple setting. Verge reimagines Banzai, a map from Call of Duty: World at War, transporting its layout into a post-apocalyptic future. Rift centers the action in a militarized industrial complex built above an active volcano. The Zombies content, titled Zetsubou No Shima, sends the Origins cast to a tropical island where experimentation with Element 115 has produced a range of supernatural threats, continuing the ongoing narrative strand carried across the Black Ops III Zombies episodes.
