Devastation is the second downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward and released in 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The pack adds four multiplayer maps spanning varied combat environments: Ruins places players among vertical Mayan mountaintop architecture connected by tight underground passages; Behemoth unfolds across the multiple levels of a massive excavating machine; Collision turns the wreckage of a cargo ship lodged against a bridge into a close-quarters arena; and Unearthed draws inspiration from the MW3 map Dome. Also included is the Ripper, a hybrid weapon switchable between submachine gun and assault rifle mid-engagement. The pack's cooperative Extinction content continues with Episode 2: Mayday, sending a squad to investigate an abandoned vessel in the South Pacific, where new enemy types — the wall-crawling Seeder and the colossal Kraken — await.
