Call of the Elder Gods is a Lovecraftian narrative puzzle adventure developed by Out of the Blue Games, releasing in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. A sequel to Call of the Sea, the game follows Miskatonic University professor Harry Everhart and student Evangeline Drayton as they investigate unsettling visions and a mysterious artifact, uncovering truths rooted in ancient, incomprehensible forces. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "The Shadow out of Time," the story centers on grief, family, and sanity, with full voice acting from Yuri Lowenthal and Cissy Jones. Gameplay builds on the original's observation and object-based puzzles, adding multi-part problems that span time and space, with players swapping between the two protagonists. Locations range from a New England mansion and the Australian outback to frozen wastelands and impossible cities, all rendered in Unreal Engine 5 with a soundtrack composed by Eduardo De La Iglesia. Adjustable hints and journal entries accommodate varying difficulty preferences.
