Pier of the Unknown is a downloadable content expansion for Cassette Beasts, the indie role-playing game developed by Bytten Studio, released in 2023 for PC, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The DLC introduces a new storyline centered on Brightside Pier, a carnival-themed location comprising three distinct attractions to explore. Within this setting, players can encounter and collect twelve monsters exclusive to the expansion, bringing the total roster across the full game to 141 creatures. Because Cassette Beasts features a fusion system that combines any two monsters into a hybrid form, the expanded roster unlocks 19,881 possible fusions in total. The DLC also adds five new costume options for player characters. The content is self-contained within the new pier location, offering a distinct, atmosphere-driven chapter separate from the main game's world.
