College Hoops 2K8 is a college basketball sports game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, released in November 2007 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game features Ohio State Buckeye Greg Oden on its cover and includes nearly the full roster of Division I NCAA programs active at the time, incorporating recent additions such as South Carolina-Upstate, Cal State-Bakersfield, and Florida Gulf Coast, though a small number of schools were absent or unlicensed. Commentary is provided by Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery. Notably, the real coaches feature present in earlier entries was removed, leaving all coaching staff unnamed. A significant addition is the 2K Share system, which allows players to edit and distribute custom rosters online. College Hoops 2K8 proved to be the final entry in the series, as 2K Sports did not renew the college basketball license for a subsequent release.
