CorpoNation: The Sorting Process is a 2024 point-and-click puzzle simulator developed for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Set within a linear dystopian narrative, the player takes the role of a Lab Technician employed by the Ringo CorpoNation, a corporately governed state. The core work loop involves sorting and modifying a collection of genetic samples according to their characteristics, with attention to accuracy expected at all times. Wages earned on the job can be spent on room decorations, bill payments, and other purchases that feed back into the state economy. Outside of work, players can engage with a state-approved gaming platform and interact with colleagues through conversations and corporate surveys. Running beneath the routine is a tension introduced by dissident coworkers attempting to pull the player away from compliance, giving the otherwise procedural experience an undercurrent of ideological pressure.
