Crimson Dragon is a rail shooter developed by Grounding Inc., released in 2013 as an Xbox One title. Set on Planet Draco, a human colony that has long since lost contact with Earth, the game centers on the resurgence of a massive threat called the White Phantom. Players pilot a dragon through combat encounters against hostile alien creatures, directing attacks and maneuvering through enemy formations in the series' signature on-rails style. Between missions, the dragon can be trained and taught new abilities, allowing it to become more capable against increasingly difficult challenges. The game draws on the legacy of the Panzer Dragoon series, translating that lineage into a structure built around progressive skill development and escalating mission difficulty.
