Criticom is a 1995 fighting game developed by Kronos Digital Entertainment, released for Sega Saturn and PlayStation. Set in a world divided by warring clans, the story centers on a powerful artifact called the Relic, which the ruling alliance known as the Chosen has lost and desperately seeks to reclaim, while oppressed rival clans pursue it as a means of liberation. Players choose from eight distinct fighters, each bringing unique skills to combat. As a fighter progresses through matches, they unlock increasingly powerful abilities and weapons, adding a sense of advancement throughout the single-player experience. A two-player versus mode is also available for head-to-head competition. The game's structure emphasizes gradual character development alongside traditional one-on-one fighting mechanics, framing each bout as part of a larger struggle over control of the Relic and the fate of the clans competing for it.
