CSI: Dark Motives is a 2004 PC adventure game developed by 369 Interactive and published by Ubisoft, based on the long-running CBS television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Players take on the role of a crime scene investigator working alongside the cast of the show to solve a series of criminal cases. The game translates the forensic investigation format of the television series into point-and-click adventure gameplay, tasking players with gathering evidence, interviewing suspects, and piecing together the circumstances behind each crime. The title was later remade in 2007 by Powerhead Games for the Nintendo DS, though the original PC release remains the primary version of the game. As one of several licensed CSI titles produced during the mid-2000s, Dark Motives reflects the era's interest in adapting procedural crime drama into interactive detective experiences.
