Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel Edition is a music rhythm game developed by Keen Games and published by Konami for the PlayStation 2 in 2008, released exclusively in the United States. A numbered entry in the long-running Dance Dance Revolution series, it targets fans of Disney Channel programming by building its content around properties such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and The Cheetah Girls. The game includes 40 licensed songs drawn from these franchises. A notable addition to the standard DDR format is Magic Mode, in which players compete directly against Disney Channel characters. During these bouts, maintaining a combo fills a meter that applies a handicap to the opponent, disrupting their ability to time steps correctly. Successfully performing in Magic Mode unlocks additional costume options for the Disney Channel characters featured in the game.
