Dance Dance Revolution Konamix is a music and rhythm game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and released for PlayStation in 2002. A North American adaptation built on the engine of the Japanese 4thMix home release, it tasks players with stepping in time to on-screen directional arrows across a library of 28 tracks drawn from Konami's Dance Mania catalog, spanning J-Pop and techno styles. Players can use a standard controller or an optional dance pad peripheral to replicate the arcade experience at home. The game supports two-player competitive play, allowing head-to-head dance-offs. Notably, Konamix was the only North American release in the series to include Solo Mode, a six-panel gameplay variant that distinguished it from other domestic DDR titles of the period.
