Danganronpa 1·2 Reload is a compilation of two mystery visual novels developed by Spike Chunsoft, released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The package brings together Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair in a single release, marking the first time both titles appeared together on PlayStation 4. In Trigger Happy Havoc, a group of elite students — each recognized as the nation's best in a particular field — find themselves locked inside Hope's Peak Academy by a sinister mechanical bear named Monokuma, who forces them into a deadly game of murder and deception. The sequel, Goodbye Despair, shifts the setting to Jabberwock Island, where a new cast of similarly gifted students faces the same life-or-death predicament. Across both games, players investigate crime scenes, gather evidence, interact with characters, and participate in logic-based courtroom trials to expose killers and uncover the forces driving each deadly scenario.
