Dark Seed II is a horror point-and-click adventure developed by Cyberdreams and released in 1995 for PC, Mac, Sega Saturn, and PlayStation. It continues the story of Mike Dawson, who must navigate two parallel realities — the Normal World and the Dark World — to defeat the Behemoth and expose corruption on both sides. The game's visual identity draws heavily on the biomechanical artwork of H.R. Giger, rendered across 75 prerendered 3D locations. Players interact with 40 characters across these settings, cycling between movement, action, and dialogue modes via the right mouse button. The interface keeps location display full-screen, with the menu and inventory appearing only when called upon. The dual-world structure underpins both the puzzle design and the narrative, requiring players to work across both realms to progress toward the game's central confrontation.
Dark seed II continues the unending nightmare of Mike Davison as he recovers from a nervous breakdown from his earlier encounters with The Ancients. Back in his hometown, mike's high school sweetheart, rita, is found murdered after the high school reunion. Unfortunately, mike has no recollection of the events that night, even though he was seen with rita. Mike becomes the prime suspect and now must work to clear his name. In digging up the dirty little secrets of his neighbors, mike unwittingly stumbles into the "dark world," a place he thought he would never see again. The Ancients have returned to exact revenge on mike and unleash an evil entity into the "normal world" to destroy mankind. As Mike Davison, you must clear your name and stop The Ancients from carrying out their most ingenious scheme yet. Ariesps
