Death by Degrees is an action-adventure game developed by Namco and released for PlayStation 2 in 2005, featuring Nina Williams, the assassin from the Tekken series, in her own standalone story. Playing as a CIA covert operative, Nina infiltrates an underground fighting tournament as a means of investigating Kometa, a criminal underworld organization, ultimately uncovering a global conspiracy centered on a stolen high-tech weapon. Gameplay is built around a 360-degree combat system that allows attacks in any direction, and Nina has access to a range of weapons including handguns, sniper rifles, swords, and tonfas. A Critical Strike mechanic enables targeted attacks capable of bursting organs and shattering bones, adding a layer of tactical brutality to combat. The game spans multiple locations and incorporates elements of Nina's personal history alongside its espionage-driven narrative.
