Warmind is the second expansion for Destiny 2, the science-fantasy shooter-RPG developed by Bungie and released in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The expansion centers on Mars, where a cascade of falling Golden Age warsats begins melting the polar ice caps, exposing the buried infrastructure of Rasputin, a powerful artificial intelligence known as a Warmind. The thaw also releases an ancient Hive army serving Xol, a colossal worm-god intent on destroying Rasputin. Players work alongside Ana Bray, a Guardian previously believed dead, as she investigates her own mysterious ties to Rasputin amid the escalating conflict. The narrative follows the effort to uncover Ana's past while mounting a defense against the Hive incursion and ultimately confronting Xol. Warmind adds new story missions, activities, and gear to the base game's cooperative and competitive progression systems.
