Destiny: Rise of Iron is an expansion for the online shooter Destiny, developed by Bungie and released in 2016. It adds a story campaign set in the Plaguelands, a new region of Earth, in which players serve under Lord Saladin to confront the Splicers, a faction of the alien Fallen, while uncovering the history of the fabled Iron Lords. The expansion introduces new weapons, armor, and gear alongside a range of cooperative and competitive content, including a three-player Strike, a six-player Raid, and additional modes and maps for the Crucible player-versus-player arena. It was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
