Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy is a 2011 fighting RPG developed by Square Enix 1st Production Department for the PlayStation Portable. A follow-up to Dissidia Final Fantasy, the title takes its name from the Latin word for twelve, referring to a twelfth war between the cosmic forces of Cosmos and Chaos. The conflict draws in additional heroes and villains drawn from across the Final Fantasy series, expanding the roster beyond what the original featured. Gameplay blends real-time brawling with role-playing mechanics, maintaining the character progression and combat depth of its predecessor while introducing new story missions, game modes, items, alternate costumes, and additional combat options.
