Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights is an adventure game developed by Konami for the Nintendo 3DS, released in 2011. Set in 19th century Europe, it follows Doctor Jean-Pierre Lautrec, an eccentric and sardonic professor with a passion for solving mysteries. When a woman named Marie arrives with a peculiar device that projects a map, Lautrec becomes entangled in a quest to locate a legendary hidden treasure belonging to Louis XIV of the House of Bourbon. Accompanied by his sidekick Sophie, he pursues the treasure while contending with a shadowy figure named Vidocq and an antagonistic organization known as the Knights of the Iron Mask. Gameplay centers on searching environments for clues and solving puzzles to advance the investigation. The narrative is presented through both 2D and 3D sequences, with the 3DS hardware used to allow players to look around environments in search of evidence.
