Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training is a puzzle and cognitive exercise title developed by Nintendo SPD in cooperation with neuroscientist Dr Ryuta Kawashima, released on Nintendo 3DS in 2017. The third entry in a franchise that had sold over 15 million copies across Europe, it arrives as the Western localization of a Japanese release from several years prior. The game presents 30 exercises and minigames — 18 of them new to the series — designed to strengthen working memory and concentration through short daily sessions. Core exercises adapt dynamically to each player's real-time performance, continuously calibrating difficulty to maintain an appropriate challenge. Activities include Devilish Calculations, which requires recalling the answer to a previous math problem while processing the next one, and Devilish Mice, which tasks players with tracking multiple mice across a busy screen simultaneously. Progress can be monitored over weeks of play. The game is available via Nintendo eShop download.
