Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is a 2006 fighting game developed by Dimps, marking the Dragon Ball Z franchise's debut on the PlayStation Portable. The game features 18 playable characters drawn from both heroic and villainous sides of the series, with combat centered on flight, energy attacks, character transformations, counterattacks, and signature moves faithful to the television show. Seven story modes provide structured single-player content, each following different narrative paths through the Dragon Ball Z universe. Beyond solo play, the game supports multiplayer duels between players over the PSP's Wi-Fi connection.
