Drawn to Life is a 2007 action-adventure platformer developed by 5th Cell for the Nintendo DS, later ported to iOS by WayForward Technologies in 2014. The central premise tasks the player with rescuing a cursed village from an encroaching darkness by creating a custom hero and navigating numerous side-scrolling platforming levels. A distinguishing mechanic is the use of the DS's stylus and touchscreen to draw or color the playable character, as well as in-game objects such as vehicles, weapons, and platforms. Between platforming stages, the game shifts to a top-down perspective centered on the village hub. The drawing system extends throughout the experience, making player creativity a core part of both progression and presentation rather than a one-time character creation step.
