Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is an action RPG developed by Omega Force and released in 2009 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and Xbox 360. Set within the Romance of the Three Kingdoms narrative familiar to the series, it draws its character roster from Dynasty Warriors 6, with players selecting a single officer aligned with one of three factions — Wei, Wu, or Shu. Gameplay centers on a village hub from which missions and requests are accessed. Battles unfold across sequences of smaller maps culminating in enemy commanders, with objectives ranging from standard defeats to retrieval tasks and timed bonus challenges. Characters are highly customizable, equipping both a primary and secondary weapon alongside a Chi system that assigns special abilities to four body slots, while Orbs modify weapons with elemental and other properties. New mechanics include aerial combat and Fury Mode, which replaces the traditional Musou gauge and temporarily enhances a character's stats and abilities. Some boss encounters feature large beast-like enemies designed for cooperative play. Multiplayer supports up to four players via AdHoc connection.
