Ember Knights is an action rogue-lite developed by Tiny Titan Studios and released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Players take on the role of the Ember Knights, legendary warriors tasked with pursuing the mad sorcerer Praxis across four Prime Worlds after he drains the Ember Tree and spreads corruption throughout the universe. Combat is built around chaining attacks, timing swings to trigger fiery offensive bursts, and using agile dodges to counter and stun enemies drawn from a roster of over 60 monsters, elite variants, and named bosses. Each run allows players to assemble a distinct build from seven weapons with nine modifications each, 20 skills, and more than 100 relics, enabling combinations ranging from poison archery with summons to damage-resistant spellcasting. Post-launch free updates added a Daily Dungeon, Boss Rush, and Chaos Run mode. The game supports local and online cooperative play for one to four players, with co-op sessions rewarding coordinated skill and ability synergies between participants.

In addition, be prepared to face challenging Elites and Champions; the most resistant and deadliest versions of Praxis’ devoted minions. You will have to adapt your playstyle to each encounter and learn from your mistakes if you wish to succeed.

For reasons unknown, Praxis, caretaker of the Nexus, has descended into madness. Harnessing the power of the Great Flame, Praxis has sent legions of destructive armies to keystone worlds. Fearing the end of these worlds, attendants of the Nexus, in defiance of the Mad God, have used the remaining energy of the Flame to summon the Ember Knights, legendary guardians of the Nexus and the life she maintains. These Knights are tasked with saving these worlds, restoring the mythical power of the Flame and putting an end to the Mad God’s tyranny.
