Endless Ocean: Blue World is an underwater simulation-adventure game developed by Arika for the Wii, released in 2009. Players explore ocean environments populated by hundreds of real species, ranging from seahorses to giant whales. A central narrative follows Oceana, a woman investigating a phenomenon known as the "Dragon's Song" — a mystery connected to the final work of her late father, a renowned ocean explorer. Alongside free exploration, players can assess the health of marine life and use a specialized tool to administer healing energy to distressed or ailing creatures. At Nine Ball Island, players can befriend a dolphin, train it to perform tricks, and bring it on dives for a speed boost. The game introduced online multiplayer to the series, allowing friends to dive together through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and communicate via the Wii Speak microphone.
