Evil Wizard is an action RPG developed by Rubber Duck, released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game casts the player as a defeated villain who survived a climactic battle, only to find his castle overrun by the heroes who bested him. The central objective is to infiltrate the castle, recover lost powers, and drive out the occupying forces room by room. Gameplay draws on metroidvania conventions, with interconnected pixel-art environments that open up as new abilities are unlocked. Combat is fast-paced and skill-based, blending melee attacks with a spell system built around five elements — fire, ice, void, lightning, and earth — which can be combined to exploit enemy weaknesses.
