Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky is a role-playing game developed by tri-Ace and released in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The story spans two settings: contemporary Tokyo and an alien world known as Protolexa, where twelve young protagonists find themselves entangled in divine conflict after becoming soul-collecting gods. Dungeon exploration forms the core of the experience, presented from a side-scrolling perspective with characters rendered in a chibi-style 3D aesthetic. Traversal relies on a range of movement abilities — including jumping and dashing — to navigate environments and solve puzzles. Rather than using random encounters, enemies appear visibly within dungeons before combat begins, giving players some agency over engagement. The combination of platforming-style exploration and traditional RPG progression places it alongside tri-Ace's history of action-influenced role-playing titles.
