Feeding Frenzy is an arcade puzzle game developed by Sprout Games and released in 2004 for PC, Mac, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Set along the Frenzy Coast, the game centers on a straightforward predatory loop: players control an undersea creature that must consume fish smaller than itself while avoiding larger threats. Each successful meal causes the player's fish to grow, gradually making previously dangerous creatures edible and bringing the player closer to a confrontation with the Shark King. Additional scoring opportunities include collecting pearls from oysters and nibbling the tails of barracudas, though both carry risks. Starfish bubbles provide score boosts without contributing to growth, and jellyfish serve purely as hazards. Between each of the game's levels, Feeding Frenzy presents one of more than fifty real-world fish facts, adding a light educational element to the experience.
