Fight Night Round 2 is a boxing game developed by EA Sports, released in 2005 for Xbox and PlayStation 2. The game offers several modes of play: players can build a custom boxer from scratch and work through a career starting as an amateur in a Queens gymnasium, gradually climbing toward the top of the sport, or they can follow the historical trajectories of real legendary boxers. Single bouts against the CPU or a local opponent are also available. The refined "Total Boxer Control" system maps punches to analog stick movements, giving players physical input over their fighter's actions. Character customization extends to fine details such as skull shape and ear structure. Visually, the game employs slow-motion particle effects depicting blood and sweat on impact. The soundtrack features around a dozen contemporary hip-hop tracks, though all are presented in edited form.
