Final Fantasy Explorers is an action role-playing game developed by Racjin for the Nintendo 3DS, released in 2014. Set in a world where powerful crystals must be defended, the game centers on combat against formidable monsters across a series of quests, playable either solo or cooperatively with other players. A core element is the job system, which offers more than 20 classes drawn from both new designs and longstanding Final Fantasy archetypes, including Dragoon, Dark Knight, Black Mage, and White Mage. Defeated monsters can be recruited as allies, and players can summon eidolons such as Ifrit and Bahamut to turn the tide in battle. A Trance mechanic allows temporary transformation into iconic characters from across the Final Fantasy series, among them Cloud, Squall, and Lightning, granting access to their signature abilities during combat.
