Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades is an online multiplayer expansion developed by Square Enix Business Division 2 and released in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Rather than playing as the main cast, players create a custom avatar and team up with up to three others in cooperative online play. The experience centers on action-oriented combat in the hack-and-slash style familiar from the base game, with groups of players tackling quests and large-scale battles together. Storyline

Set in a world engulfed by darkness, the expansion casts players as a member of the Kingsglaive, with powers and unique abilities invoked from various Lucian kings, who join forces to bring the Light back to the kingdom of Lucis. Other members of Noctis’s crew including Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis will be made playable in future game updates.
