Flower, Sun, and Rain is a puzzle-adventure game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and released for PlayStation 2 in 2001, loosely connected to the studio's earlier title The Silver Case. The game takes place on Lospass, a fictional Micronesian island resort, and follows Sumio Mondo, a professional "searcher" hired to locate lost things. Contracted to disarm a bomb aboard a plane, Mondo becomes repeatedly sidetracked assisting the resort's residents — with fatal consequences. When the bomb detonates, he finds himself trapped in a time loop, reliving the same day leading up to the explosion. Gameplay centers on exploring Lospass and interacting with its inhabitants, with most problems resolved through numerical puzzles solved using Mondo's portable computer, Catherine. The structure blends a repeating narrative framework with discrete puzzle scenarios tied to the island's eccentric cast of characters.
